UpgradeSheffield youth homeless charity Roundabout has received a boost by being named as ‘Charity of the Year 2018’ by One Health.
Roundabout will benefit from fundraising events organised by leading healthcare provider One Health, based on Psalter Lane in the city. They will also be recognised as One Health’s Charity of the Year partner.
Lucy Nickson, Chief Executive of One Health, said: “One Health Charity of the Year is an important element in what we do here at One Health and in supporting our local charities.
“The staff voted for their favourite charity in who they wanted to support, and Roundabout came out on top. We are happy with the result and feel this charity will benefit massively from our support.
“We have a lot of ideas to go forward on social media, our website and a calendar of fundraising events that will be created and publicised throughout the year.”
Roundabout provides shelter, support and life skills to over 150 young people aged 16-24 in Sheffield everyday who are homeless or at risk of homelessness around Sheffield.
Clare Collingworth, Fundraising and Communications Manager at Roundabout said: “We are thrilled to win the One Health Charity of the Year 2018 and can’t wait to start working together with them putting every penny donated to great use within the charity.
“Fundraising events are a vital point in raising funds and awareness for our cause, with the help of One Health we hope to be more successful than ever.”
