Richard Bell

Mr Bell has a busy NHS practice. He specialises in liver and biliary surgery for primary liver tumours as well as metastatic disease to the liver using both open and keyhole techniques. He routinely performs cholecystectomy, groin and abdominal wall hernia repair. In addition he regularly leads the Leeds National Organ Retrieval Service team.

Mr Bell is passionate about delivering high quality, patient centred care and empowers patients to make the right treatment choice for them. He has active research interests aimed at enhancing recovery and improving outcomes for those undergoing hepatobiliary and liver transplant surgery and has had his work published and presented on a national and international level.
