UpgradeEmad is a consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic surgeon based at George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust. He qualified from Pakistan and then did his primary membership exams in the UK. He trained in the Midlands, attained his fellowship in Trauma and Orthopaedics and then attained fellowship in hip and knee replacement at University Hospitals Leicester.
Emad was appointed Consultant at GEH in 2017 and undertakes Total and Partial Knee replacements, Total Hip replacements and Arthroscopic knee surgery.
He has a keen interest in Digital Informatics and is an active member of the Trust Digital informatic team. His involvement includes trialling and implementing electronic patient records, speech mike, and result acknowledgement systems throughout the Trust.
He undertakes teaching of Warwick Medical school students, junior doctors and training registrars.
He is an honorary executive member of Asian and Pakistan sports medicine association and master trainer for sports medicine Australia. He conducts on field sports injuries management and rehabilitation courses in third world countries for people associated with sports.
Emad is a keen traveller and cricketer, has a passion for music, and keeps a healthy work life balance.
